If you read the previous post on our blog or if you’ve been following the situation at all, you know about the contriversy surrounding ASU’s not giving Pres. Obama the coveted “honorary degree” and instead opting to name a scholarship after him [...]

The Stale Mess (Kudos)
May 8th, 2009 · Uncategorized
I know I haven’t been the most diligent in keeping the blog up to date and I truly apologize for that. You have to throw me a bone though. I’m a full time student and I also work to support myself through college just like many of you do. I’m not saying this for sympathy [...]

February 25th, 2009 · Uncategorized
Seems like no matter how you type it in the site won’t come up!! It’s disheartening how often blackboard is crashing this semester. The problem has always been eminent even in previous semesters, but for some reason I and many others have noticed that this semester it has proved to be particularly bad.

The Rumor’s True. It’s A Free BarBQ!
October 30th, 2008 · Uncategorized
If you walked by or drove your car anywhere near the LDS institute on the Eastside of main campus (just West of the Bio-design Institute) today, you probably noticed a massive amount of students and faculty all gathered together outside the building in between the institution and the parking structure. Young ASU students lined the [...]

An Appointment with Disappointment
September 21st, 2008 · Sports, Uncategorized
It’s a bit hard to put into words the emotional roller coaster I always allow myself to go through each year. As one ASU football season comes and another goes, I repeatedly assure myself the next year will be THE year. This year again was supposed to be THAT year. I reckon all of us [...]

What are the Necessary Academic Advisor Credentials for College?
July 29th, 2008 · Education
A little over a week ago one of our authors wrote a wonderful article about college freshmen and gave some quality advice to the same in regards to dealing with and getting the most out of their first year of “school out of high school.” In this article, one of her pieces of advice was, “Don’t take your advisor’s word for it!” I’ve thought of this a great deal, not since she wrote the article, but ever since I’ve become a student at ASU and had to go through countless academic advising sessions with these so called “advisors.” In my mind, the only advisement I’ve generated from these meetings is my own advisment not to be advised by these people…Read More

Arizona State Cheerleaders - Sparky’s Crew
July 15th, 2008 · Sports
“NO cheer squad next year at ANY football, basketball or other sporting event games. The only form of “cheer squad” that will remain is the megaphones and signs. Which will not be called the cheerleaders, but instead “Sparky’s Crew.”
This a statement by ASU’s athletic director, Lisa Love, back in the first part of May 2008. The ASU cheer squad has been cut from the athletic program and will not return this coming school year… Read More
